スポーツ観戦（野球・サッカー）で使う英会話

メジャーリーグやワールドカップなどを見にアメリカやヨーロッパに旅行に行く人も多いと思います。野球やサッカーには普段から聞きなれた英語がたくさんあるのでとっつきやすいと思いますが、That’s it!（それでいい）やWe need a hit!（打ってくれ）、come from behind（逆転する）、chip pass（浮き球のパス）、Come on hustle! We are down by 3.(3点差だ!もっと気合い入れろ!)など言えそうで言えないフレーズがあったり、a cleanup hitter(4番打者)、heart of the order(クリーンアップ)など打順に関する単語などは少し異なるところがあります。

せっかくですので、この際に覚え直しましょう。

イギリスでは「fooball」と言います。アメリカで「football」はアメリカンフットボールのこと。

page=呼び出す。

サッカー観戦

(対戦相手は誰(どこ)ですか?)

(対戦相手はチリです)

サッカー観戦中

(ファールだろ!)

closeは、「惜しい」というスポーツで便利な単語です。「危なかっった〜!」ともう少しでゴール入れられるところだった!、というニュアンスでも使えます。

(ゲーム展開は?)

□Two-nil to Germany.
(2対0でドイツがリードしてる)

1対0=one-nilやone nothingと言います。

(ドイツがもう少しで勝つとこだったよ)
実際にはドイツは負けた場合です。

(厳しい試合になってきた)

(頑張れ!くじけるな!)

(頭を上げろ!下を向くな!)

(お前ならやれる!)

(審判最悪!)

□Come on blue
「Ref you suck!」と似てますが、審判を挑発する場合に使います。

(3点差だ!もっと気合い入れろ!)

(いい仕事をした!)

(なんていい試合だったんだ)

□We’ll beat ABC team.
(ABCチームに勝つぞ!)

相手・チームに勝つは「beat」、試合に勝つは「win」です。間違えやすいのでしっかり押さえておましょう。

ボランチはポルトガル語なので注意が必要。英語だと「Defensive Midfielder」に当たります。
